How to Create an OpenBook Market ID on Solmint
Create an OpenBook (Serum DEX v3) market for your token. An OpenBook Market ID is required to create a classic Raydium AMM v4 liquidity pool. This generates a market ID that pairs your token with SOL (wSOL).
How to Use
Step 1: Connect your Solana wallet.
Step 2: Under TOKEN SELECTION, click the "Base Token" input field — it will automatically fetch and display all tokens in your wallet as a dropdown. Select your token from the list (shows token logo, name, mint address, balance). The "Quote Mint" field is fixed to wSOL (locked, cannot be changed).
Step 3: Under MARKET SETTINGS, configure tick sizes:
- Min Order Size: Minimum amount a user can buy (default: 0.001).
- Price Increment: Minimum price change step (default: 0.00001).
Step 4: Choose a market size configuration (affects cost and capacity):
- 0.29 SOL — minimal market (suitable for most memecoins)
- 1.4 SOL — medium market (more order book capacity)
- 2.7 SOL — large market (high-volume trading)
You can also manually set EventQueueLength, RequestQueueLength, and OrderBookLength.
Step 5: Click "Estimate Price" to see the exact SOL cost for your configuration.
Step 6: Note the WARNING: "Do not close the page after submitting — save your Market ID or you may lose it."
Step 7: Click the "Create OpenBook Market" button.
Step 8: Approve all 4 transactions in your wallet (create vaults, create market accounts, create market, Jito tip).
Step 9: Wait for confirmation. The Market ID will be displayed in the RESULT section.
Step 10: Click "Copy Market ID" to save it — you will need it for creating the Raydium LP.
⚠️ Notes
- Service fee: 0.1 SOL (platform fee) + market account rent (0.19–2.6 SOL depending on config). Total: ~0.29 SOL for smallest config.
- Make sure you have at least 0.35 SOL for the smallest configuration.
- The Market ID is required before creating a Raydium AMM v4 Liquidity Pool.
- This step is NOT required for Raydium CPMM pools — use CPMM if you don't need an OpenBook market.
- Transactions are bundled via Jito for reliability.
- Save the Market ID immediately — if you lose it, use the 'Find Market' tool to look it up later by token address.
